Sunday, April 17th I was blessed to be part of the “Why” series at Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC. The four week series engaged popular objections to the Christian faith with an exegetical/apologetic sermon followed by a panel answering various relevant questions submitted by people at the church. Click here to hear my contribution to the series.
Last week I was honored to be part of a series of sermons and dialogues at Apex Community Church in the greater Dayton (OH) area called Fear vs. Love. The goal of this three-part sermon series and special Wednesday night event was to engage one of the most polarizing issues of our day: race.
I was encouraged by the evening and I pray that Apex will be an example to other churches and Christian organizations to engage in the discussion as well. Click here to listen to my address entitled A Preamble to a Dialogue on Race from Wednesday, September 30, 2015 (I begin at the 9:30 mark).
May 24, 2015, I was bless to preach at Redeemer Church in Rocky Mount, NC. The church is faithful to walk through books of the Bible, but when a guest speaker comes they step into their “Healthy Church” series. This series is comprised of sermons that walk through scripture on topics that help a church grow in a way that’s honoring to God. Pastor Dayton and I agreed that it would be helpful for the church to hear a sermon on redemptive church discipline. If this sermon might be helpful for you, click here.
