$10 X 202 people = Bearing our Sister’s Burden

Love is a VerbOne of my favorite illustrations in Scripture is “bearing each other’s burdens” (Gal. 6:2). Throughout our lives, there will be times when we’ll be on either side of this equation. On a personal note, when I was on the pastoral staff at Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC, I was blessed to minister to a number of people at that church; but when Stephanie and I lost our first daughter, Hope, those same people were a powerful representation of God’s love and care for us.

In light of all this, I have a request on behalf of our sister, Alison Singewald. Over the past few months my coworker has been walking through a battery of surgeries and diagnoses that are difficult to take in stride. In addition to shouldering the emotional ups and downs, these trials have come with a significant financial burden.

This is an opportunity for the body of Christ to surround one of our family members and help bear her burden by giving sacrificially. My appeal is for 202 people to donate $10 to help with the costs of Alison’s second brain surgery next month.

For more information about Alison’s journey and for the opportunity to give, please follow this link to her GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/alisonbrainsurgery
